What is Puppy Culture

The first 8 weeks of a puppy’s life is a critical window of brain development and learning.  As the brain forms, breeders can take advantage of understanding what is happening at each week of brain development and introduce and or withhold certain stimulation and training that can have lasting lifelong effects.  The Puppy Culture program was developed by a team of breeders and vets based on the current research and scientific understanding of canine development.  The program includes working on:

  • Impulse control
  • Desensitization of noises, animals, different types of people and environments
  • Making puppies people-centered
  • Confidence building
  • Introduction to crate and potty training
  • Enforcing desired behaviors such as sitting

Working on sitting and impulse control before being let out to play
Potty Training to a litter box. This is the first step in teaching pups to only potty in a specific area.
We rotate lots of toys for stimulation and desensitization of sounds and textures
Separate sleep area so that pups learn not to potty where they sleep.
